Pages with IMAGES SHOWING SHRINK WRAP BAGS AND GENERAL SHRINK WRAPPING PROCEDURES, and a PACKAGING TERMINOLOGY INDEX

Below are only a few examples of items and links to our pages to help you get a better idea of the best packaging solutions for your needs.

SHRINK BAGS For low volume needs for items like CD'S, VIDEO'S, SOAP, BOOKS, GIFT ITEMS. These bags provide an inexpensive option and place to start.
SHRINK WRAP Products in the shrink wrap group are generally used to apply a thin plastic film (clear or printed) over retail type products. The shrink wrap process completely encloses the item  in plastic film. Printers, binderies, software companies, video and CD duplicators,  and other retailer's find shrink wrap best suited for them.
SHRINK BANDS Tamper evident seals for the top of bottles and for banding items together
BAG SEALERS Bag sealers are used in nearly every application in packaging. Foot operated and manual type sealers are generally the least expensive; yet still prove labor savings.
BUNDLING The equipment and materials in the bundling category generally hold large items together. This process partially encloses the item packaged in plastic film but leaves two ends open.
BLISTER PACKAGING Blister Packaging uses a ridged PVC shell that encloses a product and is attached to a piece of foil or chip board (thin cardboard) for items like fishing lures or small retail parts.
SKIN PACKAGING Skin Packaging forms a very tight sheet of plastic film that has been vacuumed down over the product. The end result is generally backed in cardboard on one side and film on the other. This type of packaging is used for retailing tools or parts and shipping items such as circuit boards.
VACUUM FORMING Vacuum forming is the process used for making the blister used in blister packaging or in making clam shells.
VACUUM SEALING This process uses sealers that modify the atmosphere inside the the bag. Food and electronics industries use this process heavily.
SCALES & FILLING SYSTEMS Scales and filling devices are the true labor savers in portioning products. Coffee, spices, soil and other free flowing items can be accurately dispensed.
STRAPPING Strapping tools are used in shipping products. Strapping is one of the economical methods for holding items together. Items ranging from I.C. trays to bundles of lumber.
TAPING SYSTEMS When taping systems are incorporated into a packaging line, large amounts of labor is saved.
PALLET WRAP SYSTEMS Pallet wrap is the stretchy cling type wrap that is used to wrap items on a pallet for shipping.
